What is 4TheGirlsFastpitch?
It's an organization run by multiple college coaches at every division level, including a director with over 10 years of travel ball experience who also directs one of the top tournaments in the Midwest, focused on giving fastpitch softball players quality competition and college exposure.
What events do they run?
Their site is centered on an "Event Center" that displays the events they put on every year, with three Ohio-based events each season, including a well-known 10-14u tournament called Future Stars.
When is the Future Stars (10-14u) event?
It's traditionally held the third weekend in April each year, and registration opens roughly 11 months in advance because the event fills quickly every year.
What does the 10-14u spring event look like?
It's described as a 5-game friendly event playing like a competition for 10-14u, designed for all levels of play to get a lot of reps against like competition, with teams matched against similar competition and free substitution on offense and defense. There's no "play to stay" fee — it's positioned as a season tune-up.
What's the format of their showcase event?
One event is a 5-game guarantee — four 85-minute (finish the inning) showcase/pool play games Friday and Saturday, followed by a blind draw single-elimination bracket on Sunday, with an open roster and free substitution. Team selection is based on performance and how well they market/promote their players for college exposure, and the field is capped at 72 teams to maximize college exposure and keep games running smoothly.
Do they have an event for older/high school-age players?
Yes — a 14-18u, 5-game friendly event matching similar competition levels, always held the weekend after Labor Day, specifically to take advantage of D2, D3, and NAIA coaches' availability to attend. All games and age groups are placed at one location to maximize exposure, and it's also not a "play to stay" format.
How much college coach exposure can players expect?
The organization notes their flagship tournament consistently attracts 95+ college coaches, and they say they provide recruiting info to help players understand the process step by step.
How do I register and what does it cost?
Registration happens through their site's registration page, where pricing is listed per event (one recent listing showed a $50 price with fields for name, email, and payment/coupon info).
What's their refund policy?
Refund rules were revised starting in 2020, with a game considered "played" once the first pitch is thrown. If a participant isn't satisfied, they're encouraged to contact marc@4thegirlsfastpitch.com about a refund.
Who do I contact with questions?

What is the gate fee?
The gate fee is $10 per vehicle, per day. The only exception is college coaches, who are admitted for FREE.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times.
Are RV's and campers allowed at the park?
No. The park does not allow RVs or campers.
How is tournament communication handled?
All tournament communication and updates will be handled through Tourney Machine. Please make sure you are following your team in the Tourney Machine app so you receive all tournament updates, schedule changes, weather notifications, and other important information.
Is this a Stay-to-Play event?
No. This is NOT a Stay-to-Play event. Teams and families are free to stay wherever they choose. For those looking for hotels, we recommend checking the hotels located along James Parkway in Marion, Ohio.

What time do the gates open?
The gates will open 1½ hours before the start of the first scheduled game of the day.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Any weather delays, schedule changes, or other important updates will be communicated through Tourney Machine. Please make sure you have notifications turned on and are following your team throughout the tournament.
Where can I find the tournament schedule?
All game schedules, brackets, and updates will be available through Tourney Machine. Please check the app regularly, especially throughout tournament weekend.
Should teams bring their own equipment and warm-up gear?
Yes. Teams should come prepared with all necessary equipment for games and warm-ups. Please be respectful of other teams and shared spaces throughout the complex.
Can we arrive early to warm up?
Teams are welcome to arrive once the gates open. Please note that access to fields and warm-up areas may be limited depending on the tournament schedule.
Where should teams and spectators park?
Please follow all posted parking signs and directions from event staff when arriving at the complex. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping traffic flowing smoothly throughout the weekend.
Who should I contact if I have a question during the tournament?
